Trampoline "Rules of Engagement"
- WARNING - TRAMPOLINING IS AN ACTION / EXTREME SPORT AND IS AN INHERENTLY DANGEROUS ACTIVITY. JUMP AT YOUR OWN RISK AND JUMP WITHIN YOUR ABILITY. THIS IS NOT A VIDEO GAME, THERE ARE NO DO-OVERS.
- ALL FLYERS MUST HAVE SIGNED A "HOUSE OF AIR WAIVER" TO JUMP ON OUR TRAMPOLINES.
- ONLY CHILDREN 7 AND ABOVE ALLOWED on the trampolines. Children, AGE 6 are allowed on trampolines ONLY with a parent or guardian.
- DO NOT jump if you are pregnant or have any health limitations
- Only jump on the trampolines, do not jump or land on padding. The pads are hard and are meant can cause injuries to your feet, knees, back and ankles
- ALWAYS JUMP AND LAND ON TWO FEET - this is critical for safety. To perform a safety landing (or jumping stop), land on two feet, with legs apart, knees bent, and arms in front of you.
- AVOID jumping on another individuals trampoline. It is dangerous to jump on a trampoline that someone is occupying.
- If falling, try to land on your back or "ball up". The key is to keep your arms close to your body to avoid twisting your wrists or injuring our arms / elbows / shoulders.
- NO flips, inverts or tricks over the padding.
- NO rough-housing, wrestling, racing, tackling, shoving, or playing tag
- NO food, drink, or gum allowed on trampoline court or trampoline platform
- NO belt buckles, clothing studs, keys, keychains, or sharp objects on apparel or in pockets. Empty your pockets before jumping
- NO "foreign" objects on the trampoline court - balls, phones, cameras, etc.
- House of Air footwear is required
- NO ONE under the influence of drugs or alcohol allowed on the trampoline court
- When jumping off of the ledge at the double bowl, you must first check that you will be the only individual entering the "bowl" to avoid landing on someone, and always land on two feet with knees bent (no flips, spins, cannon balls, or belly flops).
- ALL FLYERS MUST wear a House of Air wristband with the appropriate color flag
- If crossing from one trampoline to another look around in order to check that you will not collide with another jumper.
- If you already know how to perform a safe trick or flip you must be on your own trampoline, with no one else around you in order to try it.
- NO flips or tricks on the two entrance trampolines that boarder the grey carpet.
- NO sitting or resting on the trampolines or pads.
- NO climbing on the walls or nets.
- NO running on the pads.
- FOLLOW Air Traffic Controller instructions at all times.
Dodgeball Rules
- READ COLOSSEUM RULES BEFORE PLAYING DODGEBALL
- NO HEADSHOTS, you will be called out
- YOU ARE OUT if you are hit by a live ball, throw a live ball that is caught by an opposing player, cross or touch the green center line, or throw a headshot
- ONCE OUT you cannot re-enter until the next game begins
- ONCE the ball hits anything it is considered a "dead" ball
- YOU MAY deflect a ball being thrown at you by using a ball in your hands, even if it knocks the ball out of your hands then you are OUT
- EACH team should begin the game with an even amount of balls and players
- NO holding a ball for longer than 10 seconds
- ONLY House of Air sanctioned balls are permitted on the trampoline court
- NO kicking the dodgeball (or dodgeball would be spelled s-o-c-c-e-r)
- Always remember the FIVE J's OF DODGEBALL - Jump, Juke, Jive, Jostle, and Panic
- NO throwing wrenches. Pirates are encouraged. Chuck Norris lives forever and is never out.

The facility is a clean, open, well lit, attractive ADA compliant, LEED certified building in an incredible location overlooking San Francisco. The park itself is very well designed and soundly constructed for the variety of activities. The equipment is of highest quality and extremely well maintained to provide a safe environment. Staff is well trained and professional. There is a culture of safety throughout the organization."

Safety
At House of Air safety is our number one priority. We want all our Flyers to leave our building happy and loaded with exciting stories to tell. With that said, we have gone to great lengths to ensure a safe environment through superior structure, training, research, education and planning. These are our main strategies to maximize safety:
TRAMPOLINE WALLS
- Studies indicate that up to 80% of trampoline injuries occur when a jumper falls off the trampoline to the ground or floor. We have completely eliminated this risk by building our TRAMPOLINE COURTS WITH TRAMPOLINE WALLS, allowing our Flyers to bounce off the walls and back onto the trampoline deck.
PADDING
- Every square inch of exposed trampoline support structure (the steel and springs between the trampoline beds) is covered by 2.5 INCHES OF GYMNASTICS GRADE PADDING. In addition, we have added technology to our padding - the first layer is a carpet bonded foam for durability and strength, and the second layer of foam is enclosed in vinyl for adjustability and comfort. The springs are completely encapsulated in a polypropylene sheet and covered by vinyl padding.
SAFETY NETTING
- In the nearly unimaginable case that an 8 foot trampoline wall is not enough to contain a wayward Flyer, House of Air has added FOUR FEET OF SAFETY NETTING above the walls which completely surrounds each of our two trampoline courts.
SAFETY GEAR
- Every sport worth doing has its own requisite gear. The same is true with trampoline flying at House of Air. For $2 extra you can purchase our NEW trampoline socks. In addition, a Flyer may choose to wear a SOFT FOAM HELMET. The socks help to keep our trampoline beds clean from outside dirt, gum, other debris and keep you safe from bacteria.
- Another piece of trampoline flying equipment available for free rental and also available for individual purchase is the House of Air SOFT FOAM TRAMPOLINE HEADGEAR ($32). Our HOA Trampoline Headgear is specifically designed to protect Flyers from head bumps, bruises and cuts in the event of a collision.
SUPERVISION
- Each of the trampoline courts at HOA will be MONITORED FULL TIME BY TRAINED AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLERS (trained trampoline staff) to ensure a safe environment. Our staff of Air Traffic Controllers will be trained in CPR and First Aid and will be tasked with enforcing the court rules in a courteous manner as well as giving tips on how to fly safely.
COMMUNITY WATCH
- House of Air wants to ensure a fun and safe flying experience for everyone at the park. Please be mindful of safety rules at all times. If you observe anyone violating HOA safety rules, please inform a staff member (Air Traffic Controller) so they may be sure to respond appropriately.
TRAINING & INSTRUCTION
- One of the defining characteristics of House of Air and a key factor in what makes our trampoline park so unique is the number and breadth of TRAINING CLASSES we offer. Classes will be available to all levels of ability from never-jumped-before Flyers who want to learn to jump safely to expert gymnasts. HOA will specialize in aerial training for action sports enthusiasts (skiing, snowboarding, wakeboarding, kiteboarding, etc...). Training classes take place on HOA's three competition grade trampolines and utilize harness systems to prevent injuries. HOA Flight Instructors have extensive background and experience with trampoline flying as well as USA Gymnastics certifications.
TRAMPOLINE COURT RULES
- To minimize the chance of dangerous situations especially for inexperienced Flyers House of Air has CLEARLY POSTED TRAMPOLINE COURT RULES at the entrance to each court. These rules will be enforced by Air Traffic Controllers in a firm and consistent manner.
CAN SEPARATE FLYERS BY AGE
- HOA has the ability to divide our large trampoline court (The Matrix) into two smaller sections when needed. This structural feature allows HOA the ABILITY TO SEPARATE FLYERS BY AGE GROUP AND SIZE to avoid any accidents that may occur when mixing young children with older children and adults.
